Characteristics of the Healthy & High Performing Executive
© 2003 E. Bohorquez, R.N. - All parts of this program are copyrighted & cannot be printed or published elsewhere without the express permission of the author. You may download one copy for your own personal use only.
In this program we are going to work directly with our subconscious mind. While we all utilize our subconscious mind, most of us tend not to work WITH IT. As a matter of fact, most of us tend to place & play incessant negative mind programs & while we all do have these, we can wake-up from our automatic pilot programs & edit them for positive change.
It's easy to work with your subconscious mind. There is no need to be unconscious! We are simply going to relax deeply into the moment, thereby slowing our brain waves. Then we will work with "containments" or inner imagery. This type of imagery is also known as metaphors & you may recognize that word from your literary pursuits. In the type of self-hypnosis or subconscious mind work I have designed, we will work inside the imagery & have the opportunity to question & receive answers from the actual images.
To begin our work in exploring the characteristics of the healthy & high performing executive, we are going to visit the "mind place" & view the areas where these characteristics live & breathe. You all have these inside yourselves, but it may be that you haven't visited them recently or that these particular parts of you need some additional fine tuning.
I'd like you to begin by making yourself comfortable in your seat & then by taking a deep yawn breath in from the bottom of your feet. A nice long yawn breath & invite it to travel up your body & hold it in your mouth for the count of four..... and then release it through the valves you will find on the ends of your fingers.... place your fingertips on your lower belly & image a balloon inside your lower belly that goes up & down. Observe your fingers riding it on it.
OK...you are now ready to visit some of the characteristics of high functioning executives. All of them live in separate houses on this avenue in the special area of your subconscious mind set aside for your business goals. Now you may have these characteristics in other parts of your life & that is good. Then you will simply have to enhance them in this business area. So as you visit, ask yourself if you need to enhance these in this specific area of business....
House
1 - Views both life & work life as a challenge
When
working with the inner recesses of the mind, the very successful executive
will want to image or see exactly
what he or she wants & not what is not wanted. Those are negative mind
programs & work against the goals.. In this instance the successful
executive will want to
observe living examples of how life & work challenges are seen in a very
positive way, accepted & acted upon.. Just as if he or she were
watching a move, noticing the total abandonment of the self into the
challenge & loving the enjoyment of the moments related to the challenge..
Mind
Program for Participants. Now just
as if you were designing a movie or television program about House
1, tilt your
eyes up gently & observe as your program plays. You might work with
some journaling right about now & begin to write your script, being very
specific about the details. It doesn't have to be long, but it has to be
accurate. Notice the flavor of the emotions that are playing in the
background. Pay attention to the script. How do the actors
speak? Read their thoughts. How do the actors
think?
Group
Discussion:
l. What types of images did each of the participants observe in House
1? What does a
positive challenging behavior look like?
Examples? Make a list of these
so others can grow these additions to their lists...
2. How would these new or enhanced positive behaviors & actions
benefit the executive in
the workplace?
3. Ask the participants to grade their need to improve in this area... high,
medium or low.
4. Ask for some concrete examples of how they would change or improve & what
they believe
will happen as they accomplish this. Ask them to describe
this AS IF it already had taken
place. ( these are new mind programs being placed )

House
2 - Sets goals in all areas of life
It is absolutely vital for the healthy executive to have workable
OVER-ARCHING goals in ALL areas of his/her life. These areas include the
body, the mind, the relationship with Self, relationships with significant
others, prosperity, work, home, spiritual, community & future.
Over-arching goals sent the tone for the smaller & more specific goals in
the different areas of focus. For example, if the over-arching goal for
the body was "to have high level health" then sub-goals would include
things such as keeping the eyes healthy, keeping the mouth healthy, etc.
From these goals one then builds the "to-do list". The outcomes
from OVER-ARCHING goals are very different from smaller, specific
goals.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 2 . In the rear of the house you will find the over-arching goal gardens. Take some time to explore the different areas, becoming familiar with them. As you enter each one you will see your Self involved in your personal over-arching goal. Describe each area in writing.

House
3 - Committed to goals in all areas
It's one thing to design a goal & quite another to commit to it.
Many people are great at making lists, plans, etc. & have wonderful ideas,
but when it comes to sustained action, many fall short. As we enter House
3 we find the commitment tools sitting on the table.
All successful & healthy executives have a full compliment of these.
Some include high desire, the ability to make quick & rational decisions,
the ability to see the big picture & to enjoy all aspects of achieving the
goal, etc. There is the ability to move through obstacles & to bring
creative stepping stones into any perceived problem. There is the desire
to do things one doesn't like to do ! The creative executive is fired up
when the going gets tough. It truly is something to see.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 3 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her commitment tools & how they are utilized in the different over-arching goal gardens. Follow the executive & observe how he/she takes to the projects at hand. This seems like "mind-play" & while it might appear like that on the surface, it is actually a process called "cueing". You are asking your own subconscious mind to find your own commitment tools that are located in your subconscious mind & to apply them in your over-arching gardens.
Group
Discussion:
l. What types of commitment tools did each of the participants observe in House
3? What
were some of the ways these were demonstrated by the
model executive?

the workplace?
3. Ask the participants to grade their need to improve in this area... high,
medium or low.
4. Ask for some concrete examples of how they would change or improve & what

House
4 - In control of life
The healthy & successful executive stays in control of all over-arching
goals. The goals in themselves are inner organizational tools & bring
control to the many areas of life. Without properly designed over-arching
goals, the busy executive would find it difficult to accomplish all that is
necessary without burning out and/or becoming sick from stress. As the
executive works properly with the goals each day, the goals actually take on a
life of their own & assist in helping the executive to maneuver throughout
the day. As we enter House
4 we sense the control all around us. It's a pleasure
to be here & to observe everything being handled with efficiency &
effectiveness. A look to the over-arching goal gardens confirms the level
of control of the house.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 4 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how the controls work. Follow the executive & observe how he/she takes to the projects at hand. Notice the emotional balance in this house & how easily the executive moves from area to area, as if in some sort of a ballet. Notice that the executive is having FUN as he/she CONTROLS all goal areas. And as the CONTROL IS EXPERIENCED, notice that new gifts appear on the tables. That is the subconscious mind in action, giving up it's bounty. Ask permission to enter the executive model & experience the feelings of inner control in the midst of the multiple over-arching goals.

Life is NOT PERFECT for the healthy executive who lives in House 5 . In fact, it's not perfect for any of the executives living in the town, but no one EXPECTS that it will be & so it is not a surprise!! In fact, it is expected as part of life & the executive knows what to do IN THE MOMENT & doesn't let the garbage pile up. It's fun to observe the executive as little piles of garbage appear in his/her garbage can & to notice how ALERT he/she is to the arrival of the stress. No sleep-walking here ! There are many stress management tools sitting on the table. Some include "in the moment" stress chemical reduction exercises to balance the inner chemistry & keep the stress from accumulation. There are both mind tools & body tools including exercise & a host of others. Stress management is a full time occupation & is carefully woven throughout the fabric of this house.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 5. You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how the stress management tools work.. Follow the executive & observe how he/she is totally aware of the little piles of stress garbage that appear. On occasion a bigger pile presents itself, but the executive model doesn't even wince because he/she knows exactly what to do in the moment & after the moment. When the stress arrival is bigger, more time is put aside. Notice the emotional balance in this house & how the model executive practices stress reduction EVEN WHEN there is no apparent stress present. Notice the food being prepared that is part of the stress management tools & the sleep schedule! Notice that the executive is having FUN as he/she MANAGES STRESS or prevents stress build-up in all goal areas. And as the STRESS IS MANAGED, , notice that new gifts appear on the tables. That is the subconscious mind in action, giving up it's bounty. Ask permission to enter the executive model & experience the feelings of inner stress managing in the midst of the multiple over-arching goals.

House 6 - Builds relaxation into daily life
Building relaxation into daily life is indeed a stress management tool & so there are some specific houses that UNDERLINE the most important areas of this vital need, for without managing stress properly, the executive will cease to exist. Stress is a killer & is responsible for huge losses both personally & financially. Unmanaged stress is also responsible for robbing both employer & employee of soft dollars & the joy of creativity. The model executive in this house continually finds new ways to build relaxation & is always aware of the stress appearing. This executive is like a great detective who practices HEIGHTENED AWARENESS. He/she knows what emotional states BRING the stressors & learns to notice them on LOWER LEVELS. So, for example, if fear enters the house in any form whatsoever, this model executive is ready with it's release & reprogramming tools, knowing that fear is only a fantasy mind program that can be utilized to his/her benefit.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 6 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how the deep relaxation is carefully woven into the day. There isn't even one day that is without it! It makes no difference if the day is busy or not, for this work is vital to both long & short term goals. The moments are all available for opening stress & releasing it & then for programming the mind on the back of the stress. Notice how this executive simply performs deep relaxation right in the little moments. Notice the emotional balance in this house & how the model executive practices relaxation EVEN WHEN there is no apparent stress present. This executive model is very excited to show you around & to explain all the benefits of building & weaving the inner relaxation throughout the moments, be they high stress, low stress or no stress. The gifting of the inner mind is accomplished through the application of deep relaxation right in the moments.

The level of one's achievement & health is in direct correlation to the management of his/her emotional states. Emotions can either make or break the executive. Emotions are like children who wear tee shirts with their names on the front. Some are negative based & others are helpful or positive based. Some originated way back in our early years & were "gifts" from our parents, siblings, relatives & others we met along the life path. Many are connected to our belief patterns & again these are either helpful or not. The healthy & successful executive knows how to observe & decide what emotions need discipline, what ones need diminishing & what ones need enhancing. The executive who lives in this house has tools for this careful, exacting work. He/she loves the work & knows the benefits of applying these tools to the over-arching goal gardens. This is exciting work & like all other work is woven throughout the day as the moments tick away on the clock of life. Nothing is too much trouble for this executive model who actually enjoys meeting up with some of the "difficult children" of the Self.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 7 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how the emotional children are managed out in the playground. Once again, it makes no difference if the day is busy or not, for this work is vital to both long & short term goals. The moments are all available for disciplining & teaching the emotional children. Notice that the children are not fearful of the executive model, but welcome the work at hand. Notice how this executive simply performs the inner discipline work in the little moments. Notice the emotional balance in this house. The executive model stays in HEIGHTENED AWARENESS of the usual emotional children that tend to appear in particular gardens for it is much easier to manage them when they are noticed before they get too dirty!!

the workplace?

House 8 - Can manage thoughts & belief systems
The healthy & successful executive knows where thoughts & belief systems originated & also knows that each of these can be edited IF they do not meet the needs of the current goals. Thoughts are mind programs based on inner beliefs. They are like VCR tapes that play in the theater of the mind. These VCR programs are seen as THE GOAL for the subconscious mind & as the mind does not judge, one gets what one thinks about all day long OR in the moment at hand. So if one is to remain healthy & successful, the thought & belief programs must match & enhance the over-arching goals that have been planted in the gardens of the model executive. There is tremendous power in the momentary thought processes, but one must know to harness it IN THE MOMENT, for those who do not will find themselves walking down blind paths or paths leading to goals they do not want. Keep in mind that some of these can even be very harmful.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 8 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how the thought observation center is set up in this area. This is purposeful work & the executive knows that everything depends on it. There is little room for error because the model executive knows that he/she must break from the pack & set the highest standards for performance. His/her career & level of health depend on it. . There isn't even one day that is without it! It makes no difference if the day is busy or not, for this work is vital to both long & short term goals. The executive model is showing you a simple chair where he/she sits & practices "thought harvesting." This sitting is done several times a day, just for four or five minutes. It is a way of training the subconscious mind for focus & inner programming. It is during this "thought harvesting" that the executive communicates the over-arching goals to the subconscious mind & asks to be made aware of any or all thoughts that are not goal-helpful. For it is only when the executive model is aware of this that he/she can change the mind program. It's easy to change mind programs. Observe as the executive model senses a program that needs changing & simply breathes from center, relaxing deeply & places the new directions up on the mind screen over there.

Values are core beliefs & it is on these beliefs that the over-arching goals are developed. Without core beliefs, one would wander here & there, hooking onto the beliefs of others even if they didn't feel right. If you look around the world at those who cross your path, you will see this often as not. The model executive studies his/her belief systems or values & writes them down. When these are written, they are further synthesized or etched into the subconscious mind. They receive further commitment from this pen to paper activity. It's much easier to connect to them, especially when danger lurks.
Your values have the additional power of being ready & able to assist you, thereby keeping you out of trouble & on the high road. Sometimes people aren't aware of their values even though they might be living them, or so they think. Good places to look for your core beliefs or values is in the early lessons taught by your parents, your church, your community, etc. These are the foundations on which your life was build. An easy example is taken from the Ten Commandments, "thou shall not steal." The model executive has his/her core beliefs or values hanging on the wall of his/her life. You will find them in all gardens on the path & they will be supporting the over-arching goals.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 9 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you the core values & beliefs. First you will observe them in the house & then you will be shown them in each area of the gardens. It's important to notice that they remain the same. They are also carefully woven into the day, utilized in managing the emotions & thought patterns. They are the standard-bearers for new sub-goals & all moment managing. Peace reigns over the house & the gardens & the moments. This peace is delivered by the knowledge & honoring of the value/belief system.

House 10 - Has a sense of humor
It's one thing to have a sense of humor & quite another to apply it in ALL of the gardens. Humor is one of the best fertilizers for the goal plants. Most of us could certainly stand some lightening up! When humor is absent the body tends towards tension & the development of stress. A tense body bring a tense mind & these lead down the stress path. Humor is a tool that opens the subconscious mind & brings forward the gifts that can only be accessed through this type of "opening." It is important for the executive model to understand HOW TO UTILIZE humor & it must never be at the expense of another. The model executive sets the stage & the emotional wallpaper in the workplace. He/she dictates the mood & the way problems are approached & therefore solved. Developing the art of humor application is practiced in this house. The creative executive model practices this "in the moments" & learns how to bring this to his/her work, as well as to the work of others who cross his/her path in life, be it at work or in any other garden area.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 10 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how the humor is kept at healthy levels. Humor plants are seen in all gardens & the tools for developing new applications are demonstrated for you. Observe the creative executive model working with moments & opening them with appropriately applied humor. You are invited to walk into the gardens & observe humor being applied not only to the over-arching goals, but to weeds as well. As the humor is applied, the weeds simply pop out of the ground. The model executive asks you to experience this, so go ahead. You are reminded that there are different ways to lighten up situations or weeds. Some of the most powerful appear to be light applications, but are utilized frequently so the gardens never, ever get too bogged down in heaviness. The creative executive knows to keep the moods open & light, so gifts can be received from the helpful subconscious mind. You are reminded that tight minds & tight bodies make for big difficulties.

House 11 - Values work relationships
No one lives or succeeds in isolation. The model executive KNOWS that his/her health & level of success is determined by many things & job relationships stand high on the mast. Most executives spend countless hours with their "work family" & even if they aren't in direct communication with all of them, the relationships do flavor the level of success & health. Make no mistake about that. We already visited House 7 & observed the creative executive managing emotional children. Each & every work relationship has self-emotional children involved with the emotional children of others. Look to any playground & you'll get the idea.
The workplace is just another playground. As the model executive learns to stay in HEIGHTENED AWARENESS he/she is able to observe the playground activities & the exchange of thoughts between the players. The executive understands that these are all mind programs & not all of them are leading towards the over-arching goals in the gardens. And so, the first step is to honor the relationship & then to work with it. Of course this involves special skill building, but that is to be expected. As the executive learns to work with Self, the ability to work with others enhances.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 11 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you around the work relationship area. You are taken out to the playground where all sorts of things are going on. Each child emotion comes down a different path to the work playground. They have different backpacks with different core beliefs & values, some matching those of the executive & some not at all. As the creative executive stays in HEIGHTENED AWARENESS, it is easier to access the subconscious mind for assistance in managing the different forms of play. The model executive experiences this as a challenge & calls in the self from House 1 . You are beginning to see how all of this pulls together now. There is plenty of assistance in the neighborhood ! Notice what other houses have sent help to the playground.

House 12 - Values "non-work" relationships
And again, no one lives or succeeds in isolation. The model executive KNOWS that his/her health & level of success is determined by many things & "non-work" relationships stand high on the mast, along with "work relationships." They are intertwined & not separate as many people think. One does not "leave their other life outside" when they enter their work. The creative executive model learns to observe his/her child emotional self as always being present, whether at home or at work. The child Self has crayons & colors in the experiences as they unfold with whatever crayons are in the pocket. Obviously some of these come from home & some from work. We already visited House 7 & observed the creative executive managing emotional children. Managing the crayons are part of managing the emotional child.
The creative executive model stays in HEIGHTENED AWARENESS of crayons & knows to remove them with special tools of deep relax & then to present the child-Self with different crayons to match the goals that are being worked in the moment. The creative executive knows where the goal books are located & presents these to the child Self with the new & powerful crayons.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 12 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you the area where the child Self is busy coloring new goal books with powerful, positive emotional crayons. The executive is AWARE of what crayons are most beneficial. They match the positive emotional states that are available in any moment. We all have them ! And that is good to know. You are reminded of this by the executive. You are also reminded that you have ALL OF THE TOOLS that have been presented & will be presented. Yours are just not well defined & organized. And, of course, some need skill building. That is why you are here. The executive is gifting you now with a new watch. Watches are for "watching".... for being highly observant! From this moment forward you will be reminded of this "knowing" whenever you look at your gift watch. And in each moment you will remember to check the child Self, the crayons & the goal books that are receiving the coloring !

And once again, no one lives or succeeds in isolation. The model executive KNOWS that his/her health & level of success is determined by many things & community involvement & relationships are very powerful conduits. House 13 can refer to networks as well, for they are just another part of the community garden. These are also intertwined & not separate as many people think, as you already know that one does not "leave their other life outside" when entering the workplace. Outside involvements are stress reducers & also present creative alternatives to problem solving. I'm sure you have all had a moment in time when you were away from work, totally involved in something else, and a "Eureka Thought" or epiphany gifted your conscious mind. Helping others to succeed always mirrors back & usually in bigger doses.... and while one doesn't honor community to "get something back", it is interesting to notice this happening. Like everything else, balance is key & the healthy model executive who lives in House 13 teaches this to others on the path.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 13 You are greeted by the executive model who is delighted to know you in the community environment. This person is a true networker from the heart, loving to assist others on the many paths in life & as the executive model helps or teaches, he/she also learns things that cannot be learned elsewhere. This executive is always in awe of what there is to learn & also the deep connections between this special learning & his/her own over-arching goals. It's rather like the goal itself arranged for the special learning that would take the executive to a much higher level than before. You will be invited into the individual over-arching goal gardens & be shown areas that were fertilized by the application of community values & the beliefs that we are all here in the Universe to assist each other as teachers, as well as to learn from each other as students.

House 14 - Builds life balance
This executive model is kept very busy keeping life in balance. He/she is often called into other gardens to assist in these high-end skills. One learns to keep balance in the moment. Life is rather like a check book.... better keep in balanced each day to avoid surprises! Most people & especially executives tend to roller skate through life, simply hurrying from one area to another, often unaware of scraped knees or not knowing even where they scraped them. Often times goal gardens are left untended. Weeds grow, plants become over-grown & choke out life. The goals are often lost with the excuse of simply not enough time. The executive model knows that we all have the same amount of time & notices that you are wearing a "gift watch" so you already know this. Success & balance are build in the moments. When moments are crayoned with high level colors by emotions that are well disciplined... the moments will present their inner value & in addition will show the way to the higher end of the goal. This is proper utilization of interactive self-hypnosis ©, the golden key to mind body health & performance.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 14 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you the balancing beams that are located in each garden. Most of you are familiar with balance beams from the sport of gymnastics... & the healthy executive is great on the balance beams. This is where success & health are developed with precision. As you walk past the gardens where the over-arching goals are located, simply notice the emotional Selves practicing. Some emotions are better skilled than others & in certain gardens particular emotional Selves truly shine, while others are still falling on their faces. The executive model is quick to tell you that there is no magic here... only very high desire & persistent work. Doing things over & over leads to excellent time management in the future, but make no mistake.... all areas need the over & over theme!! So you are reminded that there is no such thing as luck or magic, even for the successful executives who live in these houses. They simply organize well & go forward.... and then do it again & again.

House 15 - Gets sufficient sleep nightly
You have already met up with several representatives of the healthy & successful executive who are involved in specific stress management activities, as well as keeping stress hormones at low levels. They don't all live next door to each other, because it helps others in the neighborhood to be reminded about the important function of these Selves. The healthy & successful executive does not leave getting sufficient sleep each night up to chance. Life everything else, there is a specific ongoing program for this & during your visit to House 15 you will have the opportunity to explore parts of this program. Many other Selves on the path assist the House 15 executive. In fact, you are probably getting the idea by now, that all of the houses are truly connected & you are absolutely correct.
In order to get a good night's sleep one needs to tend to business during the day. That means proper nutrition, deep relaxation in the moments, emotional & thought management, tending to the goals during goal tending time, balancing life & pacing. One also needs to design a getting ready to go to sleep ritual. Once again, write it out. Writing is seen as a form of commitment to the subconscious mind & also helps to keep the mind focused when planning. Good rituals for sleep include sufficient time for quieting down cognitively, changing clothes, bathroom activities, and perhaps a late snack, especially if low blood sugars cause nightly waking. Avoid any stimuli including television programs, discussions or problem solving. Never bring your work to bed, even if it is the middle of the day. Beds are programmed for specific activities & work is not one of them..... EVER.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 15 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how the sleep preparation is woven into the day. There isn't even one day that is without it! It makes no difference if the day is busy or not, for this work is vital for the preparation of each night's sleep activity. This executive model is very excited to show you the benefits of building & weaving the inner relaxation, emotional & thought management throughout the moments, be they high stress, low stress or no stress.
You are also welcomed to the eating program that plays a big part in allowing the Self to sleep through the night. When eating is out of sorts during the day, the tendency is to wake more frequently during the night. So, once again, everything is connected. The executive model invites you into the preparation ritual area, where you can experience it first hand. Feel what it feels like to have this mind program in your mind & don't be surprised if you find yourself yawning as you explore. You are also invited to lie down on the bed & to continue the going to sleep ritual with specific mind & body programs that deepen relaxation & welcome healing & problem solving dream states.

House 16 - Gets proper nutrition always
This is a most popular house in the neighborhood because who doesn't enjoy good food & especially when it is providing an additional conduit to high level health & performance. You are what you eat & drink & this executive model takes this statement even further. High level nutrition leads to very high level & creative outcomes. One can always be ordinary, but not this executive model. Ordinary or run of the mill holds absolutely no interest whatsoever. The tools of high level performance take planning & execution of the plan. Food is no exception & better know that what you put in your mouth during the day is going to make big changes in every aspect of your cognitive functioning & level of creativity.
The executive model is quick to point out that you are not a vacuum, but a complicated human being with genetic tendencies towards particular disease processes. You were born this way & if you are just becoming aware of these facts, you are already late to class. Your body has been reacting to your food & beverage choices since birth & if they were not correct for you genetic tendencies, it is best to get on the ball right now. What you eat, how much you eat & when you eat are part of the planning program. The same goes for beverages. Everything you put in your mouth is going to react in some way. So make certain to do your homework.... if not, you will pay the piper down the road & that is for certain.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 16 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how the high level nutrition is planned & woven into the moments. The executive is quick to point out that this is little trouble & the paybacks are huge. You are invited into the kitchen & dining areas. As you open the refrigerator you find it stocked with wonderful foods including lots of lean protein, fresh vegetables, grains & fruits. The refrigerator is well balanced. There is cool water & some treats of course. The cupboards are the same. Healthy grains & other choices such as legumes line the shelves. You also notice what isn't present.... junk! And while there is no problem with the occasional bit of non-nutrition, it certainly doesn't live in the house of this high functioning executive.
You are shown where the lunch & snack choices are available & often as not the executive packs a healthy lunch. He/she does know how to eat out & this is never a problem because of planning. The planning materials are located over there & you can see how truly simple this is, once one is sure of what one needs & is organized. The Self can ALWAYS count on breakfast, lunch, snacks & dinner to fill out the day. The healthy & successful executive is health conscious concerning weight, but reports that disciplined eating takes away any concerns in that camp.

House 17 - Makes exercise a priority
A balance beam sits in the front garden of this house & you can see the emotional children practicing. The emotions visit all of the houses in the neighborhood, but this is one of their favorites because it makes them feel so good.... as long as everything else is in balance. If this were not the case, the desire to exercise would diminish & it would be just "another thing that had to be done" & you know how that can destroy motivation & action steps! So...neighborhood balance is key. The Executive Model has opened the front door, inviting us into his/her work area.
There are so many tools here.... so many choices. The Executive Model laughs as you are directed to the favorite tool of all tools.... its a pedometer!!!! He/she wants to know how many steps you take each day? So those do count! The idea is to MOVE the well-fed body throughout the day. That means taking the stairs, walking to the car, perhaps walking to a further bus or train station. It also means being prepared by taking walking shoes with you & perhaps committing to go to the gym after work on specific days & being sure to take the commitment seriously. The Executive Model explains ALL of the benefits from exercising routinely & they aren't all about having a "great body". Exercise releases stress & opens the subconscious mind for creative thought. You begin to know that "eureka or break-through thinking" is a common happening during or just after exercising..... and dream states are much more productive!!
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 17 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how body movement or exercise is carefully woven into the day. There isn't even one day that is without it! It makes no difference if the day is busy or not, for this work is vital to both long & short term goals. The moments are all available for opening stress & releasing it & then for programming the mind on the back of the stress. Notice how this executive simply performs body movement or exercise right in the little moments. Notice the emotional balance in this house & how the model executive practices body movement EVEN WHEN there is no apparent stress present. This executive model is very excited to show you around & to explain all the benefits of building & weaving the inner body movement/exercise throughout the moments, be they high stress, low stress or no stress. You are being invited to feel the desire to exercise. Notice the motivation pictures that appear in your mind. The things you are going to achieve including your heightened creativity sing out to you.

House 18 - Has regular health & medical care
The level of health & performance of the high functioning executive is directly correlated to the ongoing upkeep of his neighborhood houses. All parts of the body need health & medical observation. Some of it can be done by the Executive Model, but others involve other professionals. It's important to organize this house as well. First be aware of your body departments. The Executive Model understands that his teeth need care, as well as every department in his/her body. Time is spent thinking about this & plans are made on the yearly calendar. The Executive Model loves the yearly calendar because once it is decided what is needed & then acted upon, this area will be easier to tend. So much time is spent in procrastination, and the Executive Model does not entertain this emotion in his/her house.
It is also clearly understood that when the body is kept in good shape, the mind will be rewarded by clarity of thought & creative goal achieving. These are high motivators for the Executive Model who LOVES to be free to explore his/her own mind & to enjoy the moments. Being ill is truly not the place the Executive Model cares to experience. The goal is to go towards what one likes & enjoys & not towards experiences that tire the mind, body & soul.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 18 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how health & medical care planning is carefully embroidered onto the yearly calendar. All necessary appointments are scheduled. You are invited to visit the body departments of this house. Notice how many there are !! Sometimes we tend to forget about the many body departments. The executive model explains that the body is a corporation & that he/she is the CEO of this most important corporation. The better this corporation is run, the better for all the other projects in the life of.... So taking care of the body is not seen as a chore, but as an investment. As you walk into the body part departments you will meet up with the "cell managers" who make it clear what is needed to keep their area healthy & also prosperous.... Go ahead & visit top to bottom !! Listen to the managers. Notice where the food choices are delivered throughout the day... and the beverages.... and the stress management. Once again.... everything is connected.

House 19 - Takes calculated risks
If you want to be a leader it's absolutely vital to be willing to take action... to MOVE. Many people are blocked by fear of failure & so find themselves BLOCKING even before evaluating the pros & cons. The Executive Model is well aware of this scenario BECAUSE he/she has been there & done that like all of us. The difference is that the Executive Model has a high sense of awareness of this kind of procrastination & stays on the look-out for it. The executive knows that this is simply another emotional state filled with fantasy stories.. As the executive "wakes-up" to the fantasy & these particular fear emotions, he/she works with House 7 to diminish the fear emotion & then to open it up. The suggestions for moving through the fear are located right inside the emotion. As the executive model sits quietly with the belly breath & the presenting emotion, it gently opens revealing it's treasure.
Most decisions are simply "yes or no" or variations on this theme. Its good to practice "yes or no" or no-brainer decisions. Observe as the executive model practices. "What should I have for dinner?" "Which suit should I wear?" "Where should I file this paper?" "Should I keep this memo or throw it away?" The day is filled with these, so there is plenty of place to practice. The bottom line is that these decisions aren't life or death issues... You can certainly live with the outcomes. When the executive model comes to decisions that have a higher risk factor, he/she is ready to observe them carefully. The executive takes quiet time & releases stress before entering the "area needing a decision." It's easy for him/her to see the "area" as well as the possible outcomes. In quiet, the "area needing decision" presents it's own story. The executive model takes time to communicate with the "area" & learns to be with all parts of it. All fear is diminished so the "area" can be seen clearly....
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 19 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how the many kinds of decisions are handled on a daily basis. The day is filled with decisions & questions. Most of them are very easy & little time is spent on these. If these don't work out, the executive model simply takes another route. He/she is not frightened by failure, for it simply says "go a different way." We learn from our outcomes, be they positive or negative. Observe as the executive model shows you this kind of decision making. And now, go into the quiet decision making room where the executive meets with the "action" that needs more attention. These are fewer & far between, but since the executive is practiced in making "yes or no" decisions, even these move along easier. Observe this & feel what it feels like to have this level of inner confidence. The executive model is sharing this with you now. Breathe it in.... And know that it is just a matter of practice. Of course there will be good decisions & not so good decisions, but that is what being an executive is all about..... being willing to take action & calculated risk.

House 20 - Knows how to say no
There are 24 hours in a day & therefore there are 24 hours to work on your over-arching goals & sub-goals. Other people have their own goals & unfortunately there are many people who have no specific goals & only walk around with "urgencies", looking to pass them on to someone else. People who have a tendency to do this have developed many ways of manipulating the transfer of the "urgency". The executive model knows to delegate & this is very different from the passing of spur of the moment urgencies. Delegation is part of the over-arching goal plan. Of course, it is possible for an urgency to appear, but as one looks at the track record of the individual, it becomes clear if this is a pattern or habit, or if it is a true urgency connected to one of the over-arching goals. So, awareness is key.
A healthy & productive executive works on over-arching goals & knows how to keep "urgency monkeys" off his/her neck. Its usually a matter of saying "no." No is a short word & takes little energy to get it out. Most languages have a short word meaning "no." The executive model does not spend lots of time explaining the reasons for "no" & is also careful to make it definite. Without a definite delivery, the door is left open, & the word loses it's meaning. It also sets up confusion for the other party & wastes time. The definite decision of "no" is simply presented with good manners & without lots of decoration. This works well both in the workplace & out.
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 20 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & the word "no" is applied in different scenarios. Like anything else it must be practiced. One can become very proficient in developing the application of "no." The executive walks you out into the gardens that contain the over-arching goals. Notice that big clocks are ticking in the gardens. Time is of the essence & when time is watered down, focus & momentum are lost. People are famous for delivering time wasters that take away from the goals at hand. Creative executive models are excellent time managers & artists of inner organization. They guard their time as if it were money & it is even more valuable because it cannot be retrieved.
However, the executive model is aware of balance & often takes a trip to House 14 to make certain that he/she is spending time correctly & that all areas are balanced. So, knowing to work with "no" isn't an absentminded application at all, but one of careful consideration & inner knowing.

To avoid burnout the executive model KNOWS that leisure is absolutely needed in everyday life. Leisure in not just a yearly vacation or a weekly golf game. It is truly a daily need & therefore a daily activity. It needs planning like everything else. One has to learn to THINK about his/her needs & then to PLAN & then to ACT ON THE PLAN. This is how habits are built. Most people have hoards of bad habits & are not even aware of them. The creative, healthy & productive executive STAYS IN HEIGHTENED AWARENESS of tendencies towards bad habits & because he/she has 22 helping houses, it is much easier to stay awake for trouble & then to curtail it when the troubles are smaller.
Executives are famous for burning out. Our executive model is not one of these! He/she works to avoid burnout & by doing so excels in the workplace, as well as in life. The key to avoiding burnout is to STAY AWARE, to plan & to act. These things do not come naturally. The work you are doing here is highly specialized & less than 2% of the world population know how to live their lives in this healthy & productive way. Keep in mind that everything comes with a price tag. There is no free ride! Either you do your work in the moment with heightened awareness, planning & action, or you will pay the piper down the path with a host of mind & body problems. So, it's time to choose & to commit...
Mind Program for Participants. Relax deeply & enter House 21 You are greeted by the executive model who is eager to show you his/her house & how leisure planning & action is carefully woven into the day. There isn't even one day that is without it! It makes no difference if the day is busy or not, for this work is vital to both long & short term goals. You already know that the moments are all available for opening stress & releasing it & then for programming the mind on the back of the stress. The executive model is inviting you into his/her leisure planning room. You can see the many leisure choices of this individual. There are daily leisure activities including gardening, reading non-work material, knitting, meditating, communicating with friends ( not networking ), family activities, short trips to fun places such as the ice cream store or park to feed the ducks. The choices are vast, but they must be noticed & planned. There is an area for weekend leisure, for small leisure vacations & for larger leisure vacations... The executive shares the inner happiness of exploring this part of life & is even showing you some early childhood leisure activities that are now being placed in the near future!

House 22 - Works to enhance creativity
Life is a totally creative adventure. As each & every moment presents itself, you will find the envelope housing the invitation to enhance creativity sitting right in the middle! Reach out & take it for it is addressed to you. As you open these invitations you will be gifted with the contents. Life is about expectation & preferably positive expectation. It's quite simple. As you believe you will receive. The executive model who resides in House 22 is the most popular resident in the neighborhood & is always invited into each house to assist in the gardens. In this work you have been practicing Interactive Self-Hypnosis ©. You have been working with your mind creatively. You have welcomed images & then entered them, just like participating in the story. The subconscious mind LOVES to be engaged with this type of growth work & as you continue to explore the houses, you will receive even more envelopes with additional invitations, for this is the way of the creative mind. Less than 2% of the total population knows to work with their minds in this way & now you do.

In the work above you were assessing yourself in many important areas. Few of us take the time to do this inner work & so therefore those who do are well ahead of the game. Some of the things you might have noticed were small & perhaps appeared insignificant. Others may have loomed large & ungainly, perhaps even frightening as they presented themselves in full view.
It's important to utilize imagery to put things in perspective. All of the above are simply emotions with VCR tapes. The scenarios were all fantasy, meaning that they happened in the past or you have placed them in the future. They are all open for editing. In our daily work we look to notice & then to decide if what we notice needs to be enhanced or diminished. The question always is, "does this take my over-arching goal forward" or "does this take me away from my over-arching goal." It is truly as simple as that. Below you will find some mind tools for enhancing & diminishing once the "observation" is sitting in front of you.
Mind Programs for Diminishing What Doesn't Work
We all have many thoughts, emotions & mind programs that need diminishing. If you are noticing an overabundance, don't be concerned. This simply means that your observation skills are honed & so you can thank your lucky stars for this. Emotions come in all sizes & all offer the opportunity for editing.
So what exactly is editing & why do we want to do this? When negative mind programs play out in the body they produce stress chemicals & as you know from the above work, they can interfere both in the moment & store to take you towards disease. They also interfere with creative thought because the body is spending all of it's time trying to keep you in what is called "homeostasis" or inner balance. If you are busy playing a mind program from the past that has a high content of stress chemicals stored in it, you will play those same stress chemicals "right in the moment" of replay. Not only that! You will repeat the actions of that old program & actually ENHANCE the negative chemical chemical production. Obviously this is not what you want.
It's best to be aware on high levels & to be able to notice the "lower-level negative emotional state" or mind program. The NOTICING or AWARENESS is KEY in diminishing. Actually you can't diminish what you don't have in AWARENESS or in your mind's eye. Once you have harnessed the NEGATIVE AWARENESS, be it big or small, you will want to diminish it. You may notice it as a BODY SENSATION, perhaps one of fear or anxiety, or you may notice the thoughts that are frightening or negative in nature, or you might notice the emotional state that has been bugging you to pay attention to it, such as annoyance or irritation or over-whelmed or bothered....you get the idea.
Once you notice the NEGATIVE AWARENESS, simply take a nice deep yawn breath & allow yourself to relax deeply into the area where you find yourself. I like to utilize the "count down numbers". Tilt your eyes up very gently. Close them if you can, but if not it is fine to keep them open. I visualize the numbers 4.....3.....2.....& 1. I have them come forward slowly & enter my body. I then ask the "number 1" to surround me. This is called a "containment." It's rather like a traveling relaxing room that is available at any moment. Once in the containment, relax deeply. You will find it much easier at this point. By the way, this only takes about 30 seconds once you have practiced.
Next, see the NEGATIVE AWARENESS shrinking down gently or moving away. I also like to fill it with light & see the darkness dripping out of it. I personally image all negatives as children wearing tee shirts with their names on the front. I simply fill them with light & notice the dark drops dripping from their fingers & turning into gold dust. And, in truth this is what is happening. When you transmute or change a negative "in the moment" utilizing these tools, the stress chemicals in the body actually reverse & you produce healing chemicals. You are also entering the subconscious mind where you can program FOR WHAT YOU WANT. All of this takes only about thirty seconds !!
It is a good idea to practice these tools throughout your day, simply to keep your mind & body clear of negatives & to enhance goals & positives.

Mind Programs for Enhancing What Does Work
Let's not forget that we have positive mind programs & plenty of resilience located in the subconscious mind simply waiting to be utilized. Sometimes we forget about our assets & don't invite them to join our day. I'd like you think about some of yours that may not have been around for awhile. A good place to find some powerful, positive parts of your personality package are in your childhood and/or teens. Relax deeply & take yourself back there for a bit & meet up with your child. Ask you child to give you these gifts & bring them up to the present.
In any moment you can bring in your positive emotions or experiences to assist you in whatever you are doing. Confidence, creativity, humor, focus, discipline, energy & hundreds of other chemical compositions are waiting to be engaged. Once again, it only takes about 30 seconds. Follow the instructions above. Bring in the numbers & relax deeply into the moment. Locate the memory or the emotional state that you would like to bring in to your present. Tilt your eyes up gently & see it there in your minds eye. Feel it present in your body. These are all stored memories. Utilize your "favorite sense" be it sight, smell, hearing, taste or feeling. Just get it there & once it is there you can enhance it. Allow it to be an image of some sort. Keep in mind that you can have images utilizing any of your senses, so all images are not sight images. When the image is in place in your mind's eye, fill it with light or sense it bigger in whatever way you choose.
Keep in mind that you can edit any memory file in your subconscious mind. You enter the scene through the technique above & always as the writer, producer, director of the mind production. Once there, make it just the way you want it. In fact, make it even better than that. Most of us tend to "under-do" when programming the mind. Go for bigger & better. Up your expectations & don't be surprised when you find them right before you!
